Registration - Canadian National Wildfowl Carving Championship

Please note - Registration to the Owl's Nest Competition must be made through the Owl's Nest Woodcarving Club website (please click here to be directed to their website.)

Pre-Registration is preferred for convenience of the carvers at show registration.

Entry Fees

Open

$20.00 for the first entry
$12.00 for each additional carving


Intermediate, Novice, Beginner
$12.00 for the first entry
$7.00 for each additional carving


Purchase Awards
$25.00 for each entry

 

Mail-in Registration


Cheques/Money Orders should be made out to Grand Valley Woodcarvers
No post-dated cheques

The completed registration form should be mailed along with a cheque or money order for the correct amount to:

Mail in entry forms must be received on or before Monday March 14, 2016.

 

E-mail Registration


An alternative is to e-mail your registration to Canadian Nationals Registrar

Click here to download an excel version of the Registration form.

In the dialogue box that opens, choose either to "Open in Excel", or to "Save to File".

Open the file in excel, complete the required information and save it. You can then insert the completed excel registration form in an e-mail to Canadian National Registrar.

Emailed entries must be received on or before March 17, 2016.

Payment for email entries is due when delivering the carving(s).

 

On-site Registration

Friday March 18, 2016

On-site Registration 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Deliver exhibits to carving registration area in Forbes Family Hall at Rim Park during the above times.

If you are travelling a long distance and you are unable to make it before Saturday, you can deliver your carvings between 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday March 19, 2014.

Entries arriving after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday will NOT be accepted.

NOTE:

Carvers are strongly urged to deliver entries to the registration area - in the Forbes Family Hall at Rim Park - by noon on Friday, because the display of carvings is a major feature of the Show which opens to the public on Friday 12:00 noon.

 

Mail-in Carving Entries

We will accept mail in entries for flat bottomed
waterfowl, including:

Categories 1(a), 1(b) 2, 8 and 10

Sponsor Award – Rubberline Products Ltd.
Champagne Waterfowl

Process for Mail-In Entries

1. Complete the registration form Be sure to include your Email address
2. Enclose – cheque or money order - include $5.00 handling fee per box
3. Enclose a prepaid, return postage & shipping label with insurance
4. Place the above into an envelope and put into the box with your carving
5. Entries should arrive no later than Monday Mar. 14th.
6. Please assure that your carving is well packed. It will be returned in the same package using the     same packing material.
7. The carver will not hold the Grand Valley Woodcarvers responsible for damage while in transit.

Judging


Judging begins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
The decisions of the judges are final.

 

While the organizers of this competition agree to take every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety of articles submitted to the competition, it must be understood that the owners are required to directly assume all risk. Should any article be accidentally damaged, lost, or stolen, the organizers will provide assistance for the recovery of the same, but will not recognize any claim for payment of the value, or any portion thereof.
